The “2 meter sessions" started out as a Dutch unplugged radio show hosted by DJ Jan-Douwe Kroeske. Later on it was also televised. The show was named “2 meter” because that is the height of the DJ.

The Jayhawks perfomed on four sessions in 1993, 1995, 1997 and 2000. Now for the first time, these hard to find sessions are compiled on this two-disc set. The songs are in order of the original setlist. Of all the sessions, only three songs are missing. Probably, they were never aired. 

Two songs originally performed on this set are commercialy available. So 'Blue' and 'Nevada, California' are not on this compilation.
